ABOUT US
I would like to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Robert Duffy or Bob for short. I have been involved with boxing for over 2 decades and have meet just about everyone in the industry that you could imagine. This includes everyone from the great Mohammed Ali to the infamous Don King.

I worked for the New York state Boxing Commission as the deputy Commissioner for over 10 years. During this time I obviously studied the industry in depth and began to get an understanding of the true boxing fan. I also learnt all the regulations involved in organizing a boxing event that I decided to give it a shot.

I have since been organizing shows all around the country for the last 15 years. More recently I have concentrated in the local area of New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. I still every now and then get involved in out of state events and have just recently returned from a trip to China where I was involved in a boxing event. I also am involved with a boxing gym in Brooklyn called Jimmy’s where I keep in touch with local boxers.

I have a partner in this business whose name is Tony Mazzarella. He like me has been involved in this business for over 2 decades and also like me, loves the business, boxers and especially the true boxing fans. Tony owns a restaurant in Queens called the Crabhouse which is a must see for boxing fans with all boxing memorabilia besides the fantastic food he serves there.

Bob Duffy

Bob Duffy and Tony Mazzarella formed Ring Promotions Jan.2001. Bob started out in the Professional world of Boxing by being introduced to NYSAC , through Joe Dwyer ( Chief Inspector at that time ) and was later appointed as an Inspector for the NYSAC in 1986 - Through the efforts of Randy Gordon , Bob was later appointed to Chief Inspector and in 1996 when Floyd Patterson became the Chairman he was again elevated to Deputy Commission - Director of Boxing. Bob resigned in 2000 and later started what is now Ring Promotions.

Tony Mazzarella was a former Deputy Commission for the NYSAC , his capacity was to conduct weigh in, official assignments and regulated the state rules an assignment he had performed for over 10 years -Tony Mazzarella was later appointed was the 1st Acting Commissioner for Turning Stone Casino - Verona, NY. Tony held that position for several years and was instrumental in forming the Oneida Boxing Commission.
